A New Era Begins...
...with the first post on my new MacBook Pro.
It is a beautiful thing.
Is it not?
I ask you. Look at those sleek lines, that nifty titanium-coloured casing.
I am in love.
It is so fast and so not a PC that I couldn't be happier.
Of course, now I have to learn to use the thing.
I've hooked 'er up to the internet, as you can tell by reading this post. I've moved a few files over and connected my new peripheral hard drive (in itself a thing of awesome power, which works with Time Machine to back up everything at the touch of a button).
I still have a lot to learn, but in the meantime am having great fun noodling. I'm sure there are other things of great import I am to blog about today, but I can't recall any of them at the moment. Remind me if they occur to you, okay?

LOL! Both you and Vic post new Mac posts on the same day. Synchronicity!
Enjoy. :) (typing on my Mac)
LOL.
You HAVE to see my last post. {g}
And right now I am discovering the joys of Scrivener.
I have died and gone to heaven.
So fast.
So pretty.
So. Mine.
Congratulations on joining the side of light. I left Windows behind in October 2005 when I purchased an iBook G4. I then upgraded to a black Macbook and Erin uses the G4. I haven't looked back.
What are you using for word processing? I stand by NeoOffice, which is a full office suite that is compatible with Microsoft Word and is free!
Have fun! But I'm jealous :)
Hey Vic! Rats -- am having trouble getting your blog on my reader. will try to load your RSS feed again. I haven't got Scrivener yet -- soon...baby, soon. Enjoy!

Hey James!
I am struggling a bit with Pages right now and am considering Scrivener, which apparently converts nicely to RTF for exporting.
so Neo Office is Open source, is it? I may have to give that a try, too!

Yup, NeoOffice is a Mac OsX port of OpenOffice, which is open source. See more at neooffice.org
NeoOffice _is_ open source. It's the OsX port of OpenOffice. I swear by it.
I don't know what pains me more...
the new Mac
the spring blossoms and crocuseses (croaki?)
your camera
or your trainable dog
Buddy has now discovered he can walk over the buried fence. It was only a matter of time. If only bacon bits worked with the stubborn mutt.
Thanks, James -- I'll check it out!
How do they fare on the virus front?

Dearest Novel Woman,
The dog remains only sporadically responsive to training, and in fact, we were both given a thorough dressing-down today by a woman upon whom he jumped at Lighthouse Park. Sadly, she wasn't a fan of the Silas French kiss, and let me know in no uncertain terms.
As to the camera -- hie yourself out and get one, birthday girl! I am having so much fun with mine.
